With the Judgement of 12 September 1999 - 312 O 85/99 "Liability for links" decided the regional court of Hamburg, that by placing a link on the contents of the linked site to answer for. This can - according to the court - only be prevented by distancing oneself expressly from these contents. The author explains hereby expressly that at the time of linking, no illegal content on the linked pages. On the current and future design, contents or authorship of the linked pages he has no control. He therefore distances himself explicitly from all contents of the linked pages which were changed after the link. All violations of the law, custom or morality, which are known to him, have the immediate deletion of links, entries, graphics, etc. to follow. This applies to all within the own Internet offer set left and references as well as to foreign entries in guest books. For illegal, incorrect or incomplete contents and for damage arising from the use or disuse of such information is solely the provider of the site was referred to.
